Dr. Laura Leyva A South Florida native of Hispanic decent, Dr. Leyva is very active in Florida’s medical and social services communities. Dr. Leyva a Licensed Health Care Risk Manager and President of Physician Consultants, Inc. dba Health and Risk Management Consultants (a healthcare consulting firm) since 2000. She has over 15 years of Joint Commission preparation experience in major healthcare organizations including both payor and provider (Hospital, Home Health and Physician) experience.
She is the director and founder of Family AIDS Coalition, a non-profit organization focusing on the needs of families and individuals
affected by HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Leyva has served on the board of Unity Coalition| Coalicion Unida, The Miami Dade HIVAIDS Partnership, Miami Beach Health Advisory Committee, Pets2luv, a non profit for pets as well as remaining very active in women’s and minority rights and issues in her community.

Dr. Derek Gastesi has been in the healthcare profession for over 25 years mainly in the Workers Compensation industry.  He is a results oriented professional with experience in performance management, training and development, team building, organizational structuring and business process analysis/improvement. Strong ability to assemble and motivate effective teams and plan and execute winning business strategies. Insurance/Healthcare professional with exceptional leadership, and interpersonal skills. Diverse experience within management, data analysis, and a passion for customer service. He was the recipient of the President’s Leadership Award at Progressive Medical, Inc (now Optum) and was a proud volunteer in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.
